DC Justice Lab is a community-rooted, Black-led, policy and criminal legal advocacy organization promoting decarceration, compassion and giving people the tools and resources they need to thrive. We aim to fully transform the District’s approach to punishment and public safety.
This past year DC Justice Lab has worked with residents, community leaders and council members to advocate for policies that make a difference in the lives of those impacted by the inequitable criminal justice system in the District. We have made tremendous strides in our first year but there is much more work to be done.
